Shelly Geske
Ms. Geske serves as the Chief Executive Officer. With the benefit of her broad-based experiences and corresponding skill set, Ms. Geske is leading the development and growth of Qypsys. After graduating from Northern Illinois University in 1992 she began her career in the medical industry as a cardiac nurse at Loyola Medical Center in Chicago. For the next 15 years Ms. Geske performed regional sales, training, and management roles with such companies as Johnson & Johnson, Merck & Company, and Parke Davis/Pfizer, Inc. Through her various roles in operations, management, and business development she gained valuable skills and knowledge pertaining to new product launches, marketing, strategic planning, and business development.
Tim Geske
Mr. Geske serves as the President of Qypsys. After graduating from the University of Florida in 1988 with a B.S. in Advertising and a minor in Business Administration, he worked for Pfizer Inc. as a Professional Sales Representative in their Labs division. Mr. Geske was recognized as a top 10% performer and was a 3-time member of the Pfizer Labs All Star team. After his career with Pfizer, Mr. Geske was part of the group that launched ShipShapes, a division of Imageworks Manufacturing based in Chicago, IL. His role was Vice President of Sales and Business Development. Mr. Geske was responsible for launching a new class of direct mail that required petitioning the United States Postal Service and Postal Reform Commission in Washington D.C. (Customized Market Mail). Upon approval of the petition, Mr. Geske became a subject matter expert and featured speaker who traveled nationally and was responsible for capturing 80% of this emerging market. In conjunction with his role in Qypsys, Mr. Geske concurrently serves as the CEO for KableLink Communications.
Alan Bertsch
Mr. Bertsch serves as the Chief Operations Officer of Qypsys. He possesses over 20 years of experience in business development and management for technology companies. After attending the University of South Florida and serving in the US Army, he relocated to Los Angeles to perform sales, purchasing, and inventory management roles for a company that manufactures aircraft cable assemblies and construction rigging equipment. Mr. Bertsch then became the sales manager for a Canadian-based company that designs and manufactures terrestrial satellite communications equipment. His territory and product responsibilities quickly expanded to cover the entire Eastern United States and newly developed cellular base station product lines. These products were sold to microwave and wireless original equipment manufacturers (OEM), satellite broadcast facilities, and systems integrations firms. After eight years in the satellite communications field, Mr. Bertsch transitioned into telecommunications and IT. He was employed by AT&T where he was responsible for sales and total account management to a Fortune 500 company. Additionally, Mr. Bertsch has performed sales and territory management for an IT engineering firm and a software development firm. In his role as the COO of Qypsys, Mr. Bertsch leverages his vast experience and technical knowledge across multiple industries, as well as his substantial network of industry contacts, to guide and position Qypsys as a premier technology deployment firm.
Pete Nelson
Mr. Nelson serves as the Chief Financial Officer of Qypsys. He holds a B.S. in Engineering & Management from Clarkson University. Mr. Nelson worked in the electrical industry as a Sales and Marketing Engineer with Eaton Corporation and then in the telecommunications industry as a regional manager with Acterna Corporation. He focused on the sales and deployment of physical and service layer test equipment to large service providers. Mr. Nelson then attended the University of Florida where he earned his M.B.A., with a concentration in security analysis and real estate. Mr. Nelson was then employed by SunTrust Bank to manage corporate relationships and was responsible for business development efforts with corporations, alternative lenders, and private equity firms. After banking, Mr. Nelson entered the green industries segment and served as the President of Mother’s Organics, Inc., a large-scale organics recycling concern in Tampa, Florida where he was responsible for building the company since its inception.
